Why Paying with the Ultra smartwatch is not possible:

The Ultra smartwatch offers a wide range of features, but supporting contactless payments is unfortunately not one of them. This is because the Ultra does not include an NFC chip, an essential component required for making payments via a smartwatch.

What is an NFC chip?

NFC (Near Field Communication) is a technology that allows devices to communicate wirelessly over short distances. For payment transactions, this technology is used to make payments quickly and securely, as you may already be used to from smartphones or smartwatches that do have NFC.

Why no NFC in the GARD PRO ULTRA?

The GARD PRO ULTRA was designed with a primary focus on providing ruggedness and functionality in extreme conditions, such as on construction sites or during outdoor adventures. This model offers advanced features such as a heart rate monitor, blood pressure monitor, and more than 110 sports modes, so you can always keep track of your health and performance, even in the harshest conditions.

To optimize battery life and keep costs down, we chose not to integrate an NFC chip into the GARD PRO ULTRA. This means that while the smartwatch is an excellent choice for professionals and athletes, it cannot be used for making payments. The focus is entirely on durability, health monitoring, and reliable performance.

So the GARD PRO ULTRA is your reliable partner for work and sports, but unfortunately not suitable for contactless payments.
