Waterproof vs. Waterproof:
The GARD PRO is water resistant, but not completely waterproof. Waterproof means that the product will not suffer damage when exposed to water, even when fully submerged. Water-resistant means that the GARD PRO can withstand limited contact with water. You can wear the GARD PRO without worry during hand washing, a rainstorm, or while exercising. Sweat is not a problem, but avoid full immersion or hard water jets. For activities such as diving, water skiing and other water sports, we recommend the GARD PRO Ultra, which offers more protection.
Below you can see in a table what the water resistance is for each model.
Model WATER-RESISTANT DIVING DUST RESISTANT
Health 2 Water resistant to 1M No Yes, IP67
Health 2+ Water resistant to 1M No Yes, IP67
Health 3 Water resistant to 1M No Yes, IP67
Ultra 1 Water Resistant to 3M No Yes, IP68
Ultra 2+ Water resistant to 30M Yes Yes, 3ATM
*If for any reason the GARD PRO malfunctions due to water, it is not covered under warranty.
However, there is no immediate need to fear contact with water. You can swim with the GARD PRO and do other water activities without immediate damage.
Showering with the GARD PRO
You are allowed to shower with the GARD PRO, but we recommend avoiding contact with perfume, detergents, shampoo and liquids other than water. Products such as soap, solvents and acids can affect the water resistance of the rubber seals. In addition, be careful with strong water jets, such as those from a hard shower head, as they can damage the seal. To preserve the life of your GARD PRO, it is best to handle such situations with care.
The GARD PRO Ultra can withstand water to a depth of 30 meters, making it the most water-resistant model in the GARD PRO series. Although the 3 ATM rating suggests that the watch can withstand pressure equivalent to a depth of 30 meters, this does not mean that it is suitable for deep-sea diving or prolonged immersion. Intensive water activities such as diving, swimming or water sports are not recommended.
