WHEN THE TRACKING CODE INDICATES “READY TO PICK UP”Updated 6 months ago

When the tracking code indicates that your package is “Ready to pick up,” it means that it is ready at a pickup point instead of being delivered to your home. Here you can read step by step how to pick up your package, and why it was delivered to a pickup point instead of your home.

Step 1: Check the tracking code

You will receive a notification with the status “Ready to pick up”. This means that your package has been in transit, but is now ready to be picked up at a pickup point. Grab your tracking code and follow the next steps to find your package.

Step 2: Go to the right website

Step 3: Enter your tracking code and postal code

On the PostNL or Bpost website, you can track your package by entering the tracking code and your postal code. The tracking code is mentioned in the e-mail you received from us.

After entering these details, you will immediately be shown where your package is located and at which collection point you can pick it up.

Step 4: Visit the collection point

When you have found the collection point, you can go to the collection point with your identification and tracking code to pick up your package. This can often be a supermarket, post office or another store nearby.

Why hasn't my package been delivered to my home?

There are several reasons why your package was sent to a pickup point instead of your home:

  1. You were not at home on the first delivery attempt: The delivery driver tried to deliver your package, but no one was home to receive it.
  2. Limited access to your address: Sometimes circumstances, such as road works or limited access to an apartment building, make it difficult to deliver the package directly to you.
  3. Package is too big for the mailbox: If you have ordered a package that does not fit through the mailbox and you were not at home, it is often taken to a collection point.
  4. Policy changes by shipper: Some companies choose to send packages directly to a pickup point to make delivery more efficient.

By delivering your package to a pickup point, you can pick it up at your convenience without having to wait for another delivery attempt.
